If you have never installed WordPress theme before, then it is highly recommended to start by reading WordPress info about it.
New! Rife Free can be installed right from the Admin Panel.
Theme ZIP file
First, you need to get theme file that you can install. It is ZIP archive with all theme files.
In the case of Rife Free, you can get the newest version from our site here.
In case of Rife Pro link to the theme, you got in the e-mail after starting your subscription.
Install theme
You have basically 2 ways of installing the theme:
Upload theme via FTP
This method always works, no matter how is your WordPress configured. To do it:
- Prepare Theme zip file. It should be named with version number:
- For Rife Free, it will look like rife-free_1.6.0.zip
- For Rife Pro, it will look like rife_1.6.0.zip
- Unpack files from Theme zip file. You should now have theme directory :
- For Rife Free, it should be rife-free
- For Rife Pro, it should be rife
- For Rife Free, it should be rife-free
- In the theme directory, you will have directories and files like images/, js/, 404.php, header.php, index.php etc.
- Upload whole theme directory to /wp-content/themes/ in your WordPress installation.
- Login to admin panel in WordPress, and go to Appearance → Themes and click Activate below Rife theme that you just have installed.

This way usually works fine, but on some weaker WordPress configurations, it can fail. Often it is problem with setting of maximum file size limit that can be uploaded via WordPress.
Steps to do it:
- Prepare Theme zip file. It should be named with version number:
- For Rife Free, it will look like rife-free_1.6.0.zip
- For Rife Pro, it will look like rife_1.6.0.zip
- Go to Appearance → Themes on top you will find button named “Add New” and on next page “Upload Theme“.
- In file selection window choose Theme zip file from step 1.
- After the upload is finished, go to Appearance → Themes and click Activate below Rife theme that you just have installed.
