Just find Excerpt box, and type text you wish &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Excerpt\">read more<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you won&#8217;t give excerpt either, then post will be cut after first 40 words.
